Google today has launched out a new service i.e “Google Site Search”, a service that provides quality search to any website with the flexibility of cloud computing.
The new service, hosted by Google, allows site owners to quickly implement search functionality that is familiar and useful to their visitors. At the same time, site owners can customize Google Site Search to account for the unique nature of their site and their content.
The new feature is meant for companies and sites that are willing to sell their products online
because in a research conducted , it was found that 90 % of the customers rely on search terms to buy their products.
Google Site Search is hosted by Google, and takes advantage of the power of Google infrastructure and flexibility of cloud computing to give any website the same relevance, ease of use and familiar Google.com search experience in addition to more granular control.
Google Site Search now offers:

- Top results biasing: specific sections of the site (such as the product catalog) appear at the top of search results
- Full customization of the look & feel: site owners can fully customize the search results interface to integrate with the unique look and feel of their sites.
- Site search hosted by Google, eliminating the need to install and maintain additional technology
- Power and reliability of Google’s infrastructure
