Find and Remove Not Useful Programs from Start Up

Everyone wants to keep his computer running in a fast and sleek way.The programs that run at Start Up play a major part in utilising the memory.The programs which are useless consume a lot of recoverable memory.

                                                In this post I will tell how you can find which programs are useful for you at Start Up and must be running for system’s proper working.

 

                                                To begin first find which programs are running at your Start Up by using the registry ( Read Tutorial By WIndows Registry Editor Blog ) or by using free softwares like Start Up Control Panel. For both beginners and advance users I will recommend Start Up Control Panel as it allow easy and advance navigation of Start Up list.

 After you have found which programs are running at the Start Up ,go to the Start Up Database of Bleeping Computers at http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/ .Type in the file name along with the extension in the search box.Remember dont type the whole path just type in the file name along with extension  . e.g WZQKPICK.exe

                                                You will get the complete information about the file including file type,description,fix errors and most importantly whether its important to run on Start Up or not.

 After you have find whether the program is not useful ,you can disable it or delete the entry :) .

                                                You can also search for the Root Kit database and even submit your own Start Up entries :P .You can ask question at the forums .There are many tutorials also available.There is also a list of Top Start Ups maintained by them.
