SketchUp 8, 3D Modeling Software from Google

Google has released new version of its 3D modeling software Google SketchUp 8. Google SketchUp is a application for learning and to create 3D models of houses, sheds, decks, home additions, woodworking projects, even space ships.You can use the application to add details, textures and glass to your models, design with dimensional accuracy, place the models in Google Earth, and then share them with others by posting them to the 3D Warehouse, or print them if you want.

There are a number of new features, many of them focus on geo-location and working with Google Maps and Earth. SketchUp 8 is quicker, easier.New feature is the built-in Google Maps. When you need to place your model in context, either because you are working on a building for Google Earth or just designing around a real location, you can now quickly open any location and select the area you are interested in to start.

SketchUp 8 also has feature for those that have been using Google Building Maker to quickly create 3D models. Now you can import your Building Maker model, any model created by anyone in fact, into SketchUp 8 to add more details or better textures.
Along with SketchUp 8, Google also released LayOut 3, a new version of the tool designed for professionals who want to create presentations based on models from SketchUp.

    Google Translate now also has Urdu, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Basque and Georgian

    Google Translate LogoGoogle Translate has laid another milestone by adding five more languages to its Popular Google Translate Service.Google has added five more alpha languages to its Translation services thus bringing the count to 57.The new languages are :-

    • Urdu
    • Azerbaijani
    • Armenian
    • Basque
    • Georgian

     

    These languages are available while still in alpha status. You can expect translations to be less fluent than for our other languages, but they should still help you understand the multilingual web.

    Although google still has to add many more languages to be added.Collectively, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Basque, Georgian and Urdu have roughly 100 million speakers , whereas alone Bengali alone has roughly 230 million speakers but still has missed the google translate list.
