Celebrate Ganesha Chaturthi with Eco-friendly Ganesh Deva

Ganesha Chaturthi is a very popular festival of India. On this occasion lacs of Ganesh Idols are made and immersed in water after festival. Idols are made from plaster of paris and chemical paints contain heavy metals and lead are harmful to the ecosystem. The paint used on these idols contain lead,chemicals like lead when immersed in water cause pollution and, are health hazards.
Several organisations are requesting people to celebrate Ganesha Chaturthi with Eco-friendly idols.The organisations have been working for the years to raise awareness about the environmental impact of the festival and the state of our water bodies.

One can also get Ganesha idols made from natural clay, painted with turmeric, geroo (red earth) and multani mitti from ecoexist. Natural idols not only help environment but maintain vedic significance of Ganesha Chaturthi also.
