Now just like your Solar powered Calculater Samsung has introduced “Blue Earth“, the first solar full-touch screen phone. The new device has a solar panel located on the back of the phone. Absent the real world specs, Samsung says that the panel generates “enough electronic power to call anytime anywhere.” The Blue Earth phone also comes with a 5 star energy efficient charger which operates on less than 0.03W of electricity while in standby.

In addition, the Blue Earth will offer the innovative ‘Eco mode’ interface, enabling users to adjust backlight duration and Bluetooth for greater efficiency.

Other green extras include a pedometer-based ‘eco walk’ feature which measures how much CO2 has been offset through walking versus driving.
