Typing in Indian Languages has never been easy, especially using the English keyboard.But Baraha has made it possible to do so very easily.Baraha is a wordprocessing software especially created to type in Indian Languages.It contains of 3 programs the main program Baraha ,Baraha Direct and Baraha Pad.Baraha 7.0 supports Kannada, Devanagari, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Gujarati, Gurumukhi, Bengali, and Oriya scripts.

 

The main program i.e Baraha allows you to type your Languages sentences in English and then automatically coverts them into English.You can also convert between various languages using Baraha.Here’s a screenshot :-

Baraha Direct allows you to directly type in text in MS Word, Email, Messenger and other programs and even wordpress.

Barahapad is a simple utility for typing in Unicode text.Baraha currently runs only on Windows platforms like Win 98,XP ,Vista.It can even run of floppy and Pen drives.

    I cant understand if it just changes the English text into Hindi, or translates it into Hindi using dictionary (in other words how is it different from QuillPad) ?

    @chetan the default language for this program is Kannada
    so you first need to change the language by going to settings-default
    then change the language to hindi and script to devnagri and you are done :)
