Appple introduces 3G iPhone and to bring it to India
- 33 Comment
The wait is finally over.Apple has announced the launch of its much awaited 3rd Generation version of iPhone which is being termed as iPhone 2.0 and that is about twice as fast as the first generation iPhone, with built-in GPS for expanded location based mobile services.
It also has iPhone 2.0 software which includes support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and runs the hundreds of third party applications already built with the recently released iPhone SDK. In the US the new iPhone 3G is priced at a stunning $199 for the 8GB model, and just $299 for the 16GB model.
iPhone 3G will be available in more than 70 countries later this year, beginning with customer availability in 22 countries—Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and the US—on July 11.

The other hot news in the market is that Apple has joined hands with Bharti Airtel to deliver G iPhone in India by the end of the year.
Airtel customers will be able to purchase iPhone 3G at Airtel Relationship Centers. Details of pricing and availability will be announced at a later date.

although it may lack some software features which I want

iPhone is just using the brand name of iPods to sell itself. Although it looks chic but it isn’t exactly what you want as a phone. Its more of a Music player made into a phone.
Okay I don’t want to start off a debate here. but leave iPods that is their best product tilll now and thats probably revived the company, Apple sucks. thats my opinion and I know many would differ.
