The thing is quite simple you go to the website,enter your name or signup(to maintain your graphs) and start racing.You have four choices of racing :- Race against others,practise,race your friends or join a private race.While racing with others you race with people from all over the world ,names you never heard.
You can also go for practise to increase your typing speed secretly. 
.The third option is to race with your friends.The friends may be on your typeracer.com profile , your Orkut , Hi5 or MySpace.For competiting with friends from orkut, Hi5 or MySpace you must add the app to your profile.
The last option to do is to invite a friend .You get a special code which you must give to your friend so that he can play with you.This is like a private race. 
While racing you see the positions and speeds as in a car race.The race is so addictive that you want again and again click the “Race Again” Link.You can even see your stats,average score,no. of completed races and compare your stats with your friends or others.

I played as a guest,they i chose Practice.
I could see the car and 10 sec countdown… Then i copied the whole article and pasted it one by one… (i typed some words like the,is,a,)
Flop show… kinda easy to do/fool!

@Rockstar – I think a AutoHotKey script can be written for that. Will try it and post later if I succeed.
@Siddharth – That typeracer can be faked easily like Pratyush said!
@pratyush – Autohotkey script will be great,but wen you can easily copy and paste why use other service (I am not sure what autohotkey does)
One more thing — > Siddharth did adsense ban you… because i cant see any ads… I am sure their is something wrong… If you are banned then dont think of adsense again
@Rockstar – AutoHotKey is a macro recorder for windows, it is a very cool service which records the screen actions which can be saved as exe and played later. I use it to restart my modem at scheduled time with a different ID. Thus it can even record a macro to copy/paste the typeracer data more quickly.
@ Ads – I too cant see the right skyscrapers.
@Pratyu and Rockstar there is no need for autohotkey

but yeah I am sure those who type 154 Km/min must be using it
actually they have not yet sent me the pin its over 4 weeks now
I have requested another pin but still they have not activated my ads
I too am waiting for my PIN. its around a week since I asked.
Moreover the Typeracer is quite buggy once you make an typo it just wasn’t correcting.

I have tried the game thru one of my accounts, and I really loved it. Its fun typing and racing against others, and I am amazed by the speed of some of them, especially when it crossed over 100 wpm.
I wanna know how to participate as a guest without having your accounts on Orkut, HI5 or MySpace.

I tried it and it worked..enjoyed…Also I used to amaze at the speed of 100+ wpm and now came to know from all above discussion how it is made possible..in fact I also tried to do that way this time, but it did not work for me…whenever I copy and paste some line, it does not work..only if I copy and paste word by word, it works…but in that case, rather I would like to type only as I normally do….
@Nakul yep only copying and pasting words can be done
I think there are some scripts that will help you to take your speeds as high as 145 or more but that will destroy the fun
so just go forward and race with others
this will also help you increase your typing speeds
