Orkut Apps now Live in India!

OrkutEver since Orkut has been launched ,it has been continously adding new features to improve itself and make itself more popular.Recently it even added the feature to access orkut in mobile as published in the article “Orkut for Mobile Luanched“.

Now they have added another feature i.e they have integrated applications into Orkut .Now you can add upto 25 apps to your orkut profile :) .Your friends will see all the apps you’ve added, be able to interact with them, and can add any apps they like to their own profiles.Apps can relate to anything, from games and music to travel and books.

Windows Vista SP1 now launched for more languages

 Windows VistaEver since ,Vista SP1 was launched about a month ago , millions of people have downloaded and installed it on their PCs .That time only the people of 5 languages i.e English, Spanish, German, French, and Japanese could enjoy it .But now the SP1 is available in 36 languages .

Currently it is available through Windows Update or Microsoft Download Center.There is no standalone installer available currently .It is recommended that you download it through Windows Update .

Microsoft And EBSnet join hand on the .NET Micro Framework

MicrosoftMicrosoft today at the Embedded Systems Conference Silicon Valley announced an important deal that the EBSnet TCP/IP stack is included as a component on .NET Micro Framework 2.5. By this Microsoft is creating a new vision for the developers that build solutions for small network-enabled devices, by allowing them to communicate effortlessly with the Internet.

Thomas Volz, vice president of EBSnet Inc comments -

“We are proud to be collaborating with Microsoft, and look forward to new opportunities presented by the .NET Micro Framework .Working together, we will continue to build on both companies’ well-established reputations as we drive strategic initiatives and continue to be leading providers of services and embedded software products.”

Microsoft EBSnet Inc. provides embedded internet protocol software products and engineering services to the embedded software industry. Headquartered in Littleton, Massachusetts, EBSnet Inc. has served the embedded market since 1987.

The .NET Micro Framework is part of a Microsoft product incubation group and expands Microsoft’s embedded offerings into a new market of smaller, more resourced-constrained devices based on low-cost 32-bit processors. By providing powerful, modern programming paradigms to this arena, the .NET Micro Framework is accelerating the innovation of small, connected devices. The .NET Micro Framework version 2.5 software development kit (SDK) is available for free download today, and can be found, along with more information, at here.

Live Maps now back for UK

 Windows LiveAfter Microsoft released Live Maps , they didnt did for United Kingdom.

But Now the live Maps are also accessible in the UK.

So now even the UK citizens can access the live maps by visiting maps.live.com.

Orkut for Mobile Launched

OrkutThe google’s famous social networking site orkut , very popular in India and Brazil ,has finally launched its mobile access :) .
Orkut being one of the very few google’s service without mobile access has now got Mobile Access.You can access to the mobile site by visiting http://m.orkut.comIn the past year , orkut had already added many new features to regain its popularity lost to other social networking sites like Facebook.

The mobile interface shows recent updates,scraps ,your profile’s link and a search box and respond to friends request,write scraps and view birthday reminders .
