Messenger for Mac 7 now available

Messenger for Mac 7Microsoft has rolled out its popular Messenger for Mac’s 7th version.Messenger for Mac 7 is an integrated communications client that enables you to communicate with contacts within and outside your organization. Messenger for Mac 7 is a Universal application that is built to run on both PowerPC-based and Intel-based Macs and makes it easy to take advantage of the full power of real-time communications.

It has many new features :-
• See which contacts are available to connect to on your local network – made possible with Mac OS X Bonjour instant networking technology.
• Just search, click and connect using the new Contact Search tool. No need to scroll through a long list of contacts to find the person you want.
• Even if your contacts’ screen names change frequently, you can assign nicknames to easily keep track of who’s who.

Messenger for Mac 7It seems like that Microsoft has made the latest messenger to integrate well with Office Communications Server 2007. If your company has Office Communications Server 2007 and Messenger for Mac 7 installed within your corporate network, you can participate in face-to-face meetings with co-workers in other cities, countries, or on Windows PCs using multi-party audio and video conferencing.

Messenger for Mac 7For corporate users, increased support for Office Communications Server 2007 makes it easy to search a corporate address book from within Messenger and quickly find internal contacts and their presence information. With corporate users each having an account on your corporate network, communications are more protected.

You can download the Engish version from here(21 mb .dmg) .You can download the softwares for other languages from here. You require Mac OS X version 10.4.9 (Tiger) or a later version of Mac OS .
