You Tube Makes critical changes in its Policy

You Tube YouTube the famous Video Sharing site has brought many manjor changes in its policy enforcement systems.Previously they had also brought major changes in their user interface too. :)

Violation Period
Previously a user who posted 3 videos that violated the Community Guidelines in a time period of a year was treated equal to the user who posted the same no. of videos in a course of a week. But now the violations are rescinded after every six months. Also accounts that had one or two warnings (as of April 16, 2008) for Community Guidelines violations have been given a clean slate and are going forward under the new system except the copyright claims which don’t expire and are not being cleared.

Notifications
Earlier if a video was removed for violating the Community Guidelines or due to a claim of copyright infringement, the user was informed only via the means of mail. But now the notice is also shown on YouTube the next time user access the site .

Suspended account
The user who post content that isnt too harsh or abusive were earlier suspended too.But now instead of being suspended he isnt allowed to post new content but still can access the site and watch the videos.Right now it is set up to affect users who have two Community Guidelines warnings in a six-month period and will last two weeks.

These were few changes in the policy and the site implemented by YouTube.YouTube hopes to continously roll over improvement so as to make itself more popular.

Have a nice day :)
